How the price is calculated
True cost = material + machine wear (purchase price ÷ expected life hours, plus upkeep) + electricity (watts × hours × your rate) + hands-on labor + packaging, then a failure allowance for the runs you have to redo.
Suggested price = (true cost + fixed fees) ÷ (1 − percentage fees − target margin), rounded up to the next .49 or .99. So the margin you asked for is what's left after the marketplace takes its cut.
Profit per machine-hour shows which products are worth your machine time. A cheap item that runs fast can earn more per hour than an expensive one that ties up the machine all day.
Fee presets use published US rates as of 2026, and platforms do change them, so check your own fee page. This calculator helps with pricing. It isn't financial or tax advice. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
